Agree with all the above. I think you did the dialogue especially well - bouncy, sarky, and very funny at times.

Well, what a lovely surprise for the early morning! I like older lads stories and, as mentioned by others, this had a very nice line in humor.

I especially liked this exchange:

"Lovely. I saved you a cress sandwich. You finished with your holiday, then?"

"Yes, my tan's coming along nicely. No extra holes in your person, I take it?"

That's very nice, and very like them. *g*
