The Reading Room - the fics so far

To wind up the Reading Room year, I've made a list (under the cut, below) of all the fics we've read - 39 in all.

Take a bow all of you for reading, reccing and writing about so many wonderful fics.

It's been an excellent education for me as a newcomer to Pros fic. Better still, I've got to know you lovely avid and knowledgeable readers.

The Reading Room will return in the new year, probably 7 January, and we already have these recs:

Thank you so much for this initiative! It's been (and continues to be) a lot of fun and a great prompt to re-read some wonderful fics. I've enjoyed reading everybody's comments and joining in when I could (and quite often peeking even when work meant I really really shouldn't). Quite different from writing to thank an author, because this is a chance to muse and discuss - and people make some tremendously insightful comments. So thank you again, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

Good point that it is different from writing to an author directly in response to their fic. Must get a bit close at times, though, as we have discussed fics written by current ljers, and I hope the authors have taken it in good part. Haven't had any complaints, anyway.

I'm glad you find time to look in. Of course you had to be included! My only objection is that when general consensus breaks out on how good the fic is and how much we like it, there isn't a lot of debate. ; )

I don't often join in, but I read every single response and it opens all sorts of new doors when it comes to looking at a story, and it's really enlightening to see how different (not always, but often) the feelings and impressions are that readers come away with.

Both are long, which is good, but that means folks need time to read if you'd like either for review.

Actually, that is an excellent idea and you are very sensible to suggest it.

My idea in posting the list was just so people could check what fics we've already had to avoid duplication, as it is now impossible to remember them all without a list.
