I second everything blkandwhtcat said about it. I found it compelling (even if some of the things were a little too rich for my blood..)because of the characters development, the understanding WHY they did what they did, and the look Mana manages to give us into their psyche (especially Toreth..)
Also, if you like original slash, and haven't found "Special Forces" yet, I highly recommend it. I think it is utterly BRILLIANT. Well written, well thought-out, well researched, gritty, realistic, painful, and hot as hell. Hands down THE BEST original slash I have read to date. Seriously.
