My recommendation today is

Under the Tree
by DVS.

This story follows Bodie and Doyle as they perform surveillance in an unoccupied house at Christmas time. Their relationship is at an intermediate stage and develops during the story without any bold emotional strokes. I like the way their personal lives are woven together with their lives as agents in this story.
