There are lots of BrendaK stories that I like, and there's even another Christmas one that I like alot (*g*) but there's something about this fic, which starts off with the lads down on a cold and grey beach for Christmas... It ends in roughly the same place, but... *g*

Oh I like this one! I like the way she writes the lads here, with Bodie all cheerfully unabashedly lecherous but yet plainly wanting something more meaningful, just as Doyle does (although he's not quite ready to admit it). Plus I enjoy the immediacy of the present tense, which is not easy to write but the author pulls it off well here.

There's something so bleak about a cold empty Christmas beach, but I love it in this story - the lads are typically themselves, typically blokes, and the way they managed to shut the world away and make a private place for themselves has got a magic about it. I don't recall reading it before, either, so a double thank you!
