Thanks everyone who suggested stories for reading rooms to come. Just one question before I add some of them, though... thoughts needed! A number of stories were suggested that were written by authors who are currently active on lj/in Pros/basically around here and quite possibly reading this comm. This is brilliant in many ways (how fab to write stories that people want to talk about!) but - the Reading Room isn't about recommendations, it's about story discussion, and I wonder if people might feel they can't be critical (even in a nice way) in comments about stories like these. Or if there might be authors who'd prefer not to have their stories discussed. What do you think?I'm going to do this in two ways - opinions and thoughts (and discussion!) in comments, but also via a closed poll. I'm going to close it so that I'm the only person who can see who voted for what, just in case anyone's shy about saying one way or the other. But feel free to also answer in the comments, or to make other suggestions etc., as always!
ETA - Well, I mess that poll up (it wouldn't let me see the results either!) and it won't let me insert another one into this post, so I'm going to have to do another post after this one and try again - I'm sorry! If you've already voted, would you mind voting there? And if you haven't - please do!
