Christmas Past and Future

Today it's a really old story I found. It's from 1996 and I know I've read it some years ago. Might be in 2013 my first year and my first Christmas with Pros stories.

It's an older lads story. We don't know excatly how long the lads are best friends and partners, but it must be a very long time, at last 30 years. Doyle is a widower since his wife died three years ago and Bodie lost his partner after twenty-five years, ten month before Christmas. Like always they spend their Christmas together, because for Doyle Bodie was always family.

Doyle sits on his sofa, holding the exhausted sleeping Bodie and remembers some Christmas Eves in the past.

It is a nice written story with many emotional scenes from their long time friendship. And the end is perfect for me, because it shows that sometimes, with the right person friends can become lovers.

And I think Doyle's living room could look like this.
