I've finally had time to start reading Never Far Apart.
Currently enjoying Between Folly and Love by Josey -- good meaty story, very well written, and my favourite genre -- ER leading (I'm confident) to emotional first time.

Oh! I am new to the list and just having a chance to look around. I come to Pros by way of The Circuit Archive, and I think I discovered the archive one day, a few years ago, while looking for new and interesting slash to read. *fans self* Found it.
So, I am very interested in what everyone is reading, as well as what they would recommend. And, overall, how did they find themselves here and interested in The Professionals.
What do members consider Pros staples and must reads? (Should I use this response as a new post?)
And, thanks for reminding me! One of my fave Pros story is 'There's An Old Mill...' by O Yardley. I want to read that again.
Um... /ramble.

I'm being quiet because I'm re-reading Rob's Waiting To Fall. It is totally unputdownable!
Actually the more I read, the more I *want* to read. How bad is that? I'm falling way behind on my ordinary book reading, because I just want slash! LOL

Hi and welcome.
Hmm must-reads in Pros. I would say anything by O Yardley and Sebastian is a must - well, early Sebastian anyway. All Sally Fell's stuff is fabulous too. All Georgina Kirrin's work.
Professional Dreamer by Pamela Rose; Trick of the Trade by Melanie Athene; A Chat With Father by Anne Higgins; Fly On The Wall by Lezlie Conch; Birdwatchers Guide to Cornish Ghosts, Cider with Bodie, Join The Queue, The Victorian Kitchen Gardener - all by Lizzie.
Think that might be enough to be going along with :-)))) Hope you like my reccs, anyway. But it's very subjective depending on what your tastes are.

*distracted mightily by your icon* Um... oh.
LOL... thank-you very much! I think most of these are new to me. I've read a lot of O Yardley and some Sebastian. I believe I've read Fly On The Wall by Lezlie Conch as well.
Treasure!
I think I need to go hunt a few Pros icons, also. ;-)

I've only *just* started to watch The Pros, join communities and read fic. I'm most of the way through a quick viewing of season 1 (minus a couple of eps I haven't been able to find.) I know there's tons of fic, vids, etc. out there and I'm really anticipating getting into it. So far I've just read
dorcas_gustine and
bistokids' LoM/Pros crossover series (http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/cgi-bin/search.cgi?ShortResults=1&Title=&Title_Range=0&Author=Dorcas%20Gustine&AuthorRange=0&Original_Publication=&Summary=&Date=0&SizeRange=0&SortBy=1&SortOrder=0&NumToList=0&Exact=1). Very hot and sweet - but perhaps too focused on Life on Mars for some of the folks here? Anyway, I've seen mentions of The Pros practically since I got online in '95, so it's pretty exciting to finally "get in on the action." ::grin::

Oh, sure... *g* I'll cut and paste the majority. Cheers!
Well himself & I have just finished watching Season 1 of Life on Mars (late, yeah, I know!) so I re-read
dorcas_gustine and
bistokids's 3x LoM/Pros crossovers, which are fab (although someone really needs to follow our lads home in the last one *g*). Would love to see some more *hint*.
I'm reading Jane's "Affairs of the Heart" excruciatingly slowly, maybe 3 or 4 pages a night because it's all I can take *g*. But I got the zine, so...
'Never Far Apart' - I've read "Raymond's Joy" about 3 times, because it's such a wonderful story. And I'm going to re-read "Far Shore" next, because I have such mixed feelings about it, try to tease out which bits work for me & which don't, and why.

*Hides in a corner* No Pros reading at the moment except for new fics popping up. Too busy reading real books o.O Right now I'm into The Book of the Dead by Preston & Child.
I've put Never Far Apart aside finally, after rereading it god knows how many times. Love it all, my most reread ones are Raymond's Joy and Far Shore, I think. I'm dipping into a bit of HG fic-wise right now, and The Kite Runner book-wise.
I'm reading The Larton Chronicles - I LOVE it!
I want it to go on forever.
I want it to go on forever.
I've just read Larton - it's so bloody good isnt it? I read it slowly because I didnt want it to end! :-)
Thank you - the icon is one I made and posted recently on here, so feel free to nab if you want :-)))
I'm exactly the same, trying to read it slowly and savour every word! lol
It's just so wonderful, I'm dreading it ending!

That's what I'm reading at present, although it's the first time for me. Enjoying it immensely!
LOL! Yep, I'm halfway through and there's no sign of it happening yet.
