Was that addressed to me or for general information?

'Cos one thing that I enjoyed in this story was that my children were given a classic Monopoly set for Christmas and we played it lots (I always lose), then at February half-term we went to Devon and played a Devon-themed version of Monopoly there...

The joke is that Old Kent Road is the beginning of the game and the lowest value place in Monopoly London, hence the grimy alleyway and Doyle as rent-boy, and Mayfair is the last and the most expensive. I wondered whether the lads were devising some sort of adventures at all the places in between, although Doyle says the next round of the game depends on who gets to Mayfair first.

It's a delightful concept for the story, and a good title, because it could also refer to their monopoly on each other's affections (or sexual needs), and in the immediate context, Bodie dominating (monopolising) Doyle in that encounter.
