One of my favourites as well! The first time I read it I remember being really impressed by the way Kathie became as real as Bodie and Doyle. Great character development and some good psychological insights into the damage that abuse can cause, even if it's a bit heavy-handed at times. I can read this fic again (not something I do often) finding different aspects to focus on and enjoy. It's quite complex and satisfyingly long. The writing is very assured with brilliant descriptions and lots of tension. I agree with the points in your review, especially in regard to Anne Holly and Murphy,but they don't spoil the story which is altogether worthwhile. I'm glad I'm still online this week and able to comment.
